ACL-A807-10, 1-0, annotated by Damenspringer on 11.06.2010

I retired from chess a dozen years ago, but came back last year. I found a new world. In the twenties of the last century Alekhine said 'I am the theory!', clearly Kasparov was the theory at the end of the last century, and now? The computer is it. ACL-A807-5, 1-0, Caro Kann, annotated by Damenspringer on 01.05.2010

It seems to me as if Mr. Teflon is my playchess nemesis. Just a game before he caught me with a knight sacrifice. And a game later he refuted a theoretical recommendation (never believe someone else ;-). But in this game he was too careless. (13.03.2010, 1 GPP, 21 moves)  Annotated game  Java viewer

ACL-A808-1, 0-1, Scotch, Goering Gambit, annotated by Damenspringer on 30.01.2010

This is my first game on playchess and my 1st CC game too. Up to this game Mr. Teflon only played HCL games, but heaps of them. (29.11.2009, 1 GPP, 28 moves)  Annotated game  Java viewer

ACL-M064-10, 0-1, E58: Nimzo-Indian, Rubinstein, annotated by cinephos on 28.04.2008

In this game you will not find deep position analysis. I do not dive into variations, I do not seek for the perfect move. I mention computer suggestions only when needed. In this game you can find comments about computer aided analysis. There are no instructions on how to use chess engines, or check lists (what to do or avoid). I simply try to understand computers with a human logic and use them effectively. (01.01.2005, 1 GPP, 43 moves)  Annotated game  Java viewer

ACL-A532-10, 1-0, C10: French with 3.Nc3: Unusual Black 3rd moves and 3...dxe4, annotated by Mickey on 04.01.2007

This is one of the most crushing game I have ever played or witnessed. The blunder of the game happened on move 5...h6??? The remaining was just demolishing. After this move I employed chess engines to analyse the best continuation. NB: The main line from the chess engines are result of analysis for at least 3 hours on each node (move)on Pentium IV, 2.0GHz. Fritz 8 on 359 MB Hash table, Deep Junior 7 and Shredder 6 on 286 MB Hash table. And the analysis was divided into two parts for ease - after moves 5 and 7. Believe me, it took weeks of computer analysis! (04.10.2003, 1 GPP, 12 moves)  Annotated game  Java viewer

ACL-A660-4, 1-0, Reti, annotated by shadow_cup on 17.03.2006

The theme of this game is how 'not' to defend your king. This game is also a good example of what happens when you focus more upon counter-striking than prevention. Black surrenders to a tornado. (16.03.2006, 1 GPP, 22 moves)  Annotated game  Java viewer

ACL-A656-10, ½-½, Englisch, annotated by birdflu on 14.03.2006

Also was Schwarz da spielte, kann ich gar nicht richtig bezeichnen; ich würde sagen, es war eine Art Englisch\Grünfeld-Zwitter (10.03.2006, 1 GPP, 42 moves)  Annotated game  Java viewer

ACL-A645-14, 0-1, Trompovsky, annotated by birdflu on 13.02.2006

What does a normal chessplayer do when a drawn Rook+pawn vs. Rook engame is close at hand? He agrees, but not so Palhare. On move 24 I offered the draw, but it went on til move 48 and then I was fed up and resigned after 3 declined draw offers. Remember this was an ACL game (02.02.2006, 1 GPP, 50 moves)  Annotated game  Java viewer
