Spotlight on Class M - December 2006

On 7 Jan 2007, hal1958 collected his 100th Tournament win, clear of his nearest challenger in this category by at least a dozen tournaments. He followed this up with more wins, and now stands at 102.

Class M is an elite group, only 63 players ranked on 31 Dec 2006. Here are some notable M-citizens who would not be otherwise recognized.

Games Played

Here are some Class M players (besides hal1958, who leads all classes) who have played the most games: ETC_Chess (Class M, 734 games) ,   victorabiodun03 (Class M, 686 games) ,   Tarrega (Class M, 626 games) ,   marceli (Class M, 592 games) .

Tournament Wins

The following class M players have the most tournament wins, aside from those who lead in all classes:  PamperedPawn ( 45 wins, class M),  Eishockeytorwart ( 36 wins, class M).

Game Wins

Here is a list of those who have the most game wins:  ETC_Chess ( 445 wins, class M),  victorabiodun03 ( 338 wins, class M),  luciano59 ( 294 wins, class M),  Harijs ( 294 wins, class M).

Highest Winning Percentage

Most of those in this category (luciano59, ombre and others) have already been honored because they lead the pack for all classes. Add to this the name of: Casablanca
( 77.39%, 115 games, class M) as one with a high winning percentage having played a minimum of 70 games.

I have actually beat some of these players on their way up--Could you give me a break down of how many players are in C-B A-E-M--I have made it to E a few times I like class C

That's a good suggestion. My next attempt at collecting stats is going to be to go after all the players, not just those on the ratings list. I'll be trying to come up with an answer for you.
