April 28, 20051. Deutsches Fernschach-Server-OpenThis grand tournament is the perfect opportunity for German players to meet players from other correspondence chess servers - and even real CC "professionals". Great prizes, good chess and a lot of fun! However, this tournament is reserved to German players (this restriction is not my idea!). Therefore, the remaining description is in German language.

German players only - what crap is this? "Germany only" has been the precondition of the German Correspondence Chess Federation. I tried my best to convince them that making this tournament really *open* would be great. But they insisted on their position. :-( Posted by: Thomas at April 30, 2005 12:16 PMIwant to be selected in this tournament Posted by: Nishtha Khatri at May 3, 2005 12:58 PMYou can only participate in this tournament, if you are living in Germany - do you? If yes, please contact me by mail. Posted by: Thomas at May 4, 2005 12:09 PMNo, Thomas: "Germany only" has been the precondition of the German Correspondence Chess Federation - BdF (the German Correspondence Chess Federation) is a member of ICCF, the world correspondence chess federation. "Germany only" is the precondition to avoid any violation of "international rules". "The world only" would be my precondition. Thanks, Uwe, for being precise. I did not know if I should publish something about the rules between ICCF and BdF - therefore my simplified statement. BTW: I wouldn't have expected to find a comment from you here. From where do you take all the time to visit the servers? I am really impressed. Of course you are welcome any time! Posted by: Thomas Stahl at May 7, 2005 01:28 AMHello Thomas, thanks for your greetings! I´m interested in chess and in correspondence chess on webservers. So I´m a virtual globetrotter. ;-) |
